About the Therapist

Dr. Dane Happeny PT, DPT, OCS

Corvallis Clinic Operator, Physical Therapist

Dane's Soccer Passion: Dane played soccer from 1st grade through high school.  He played club level ball with the Rogue Valley Soccer Club and won a State Championship as a member of the South Medford High School Panthers. He had opportunities to play at the DIII level in college, but chose to focus on his education and have fun with intramurals.  As a Physical Therapist, Dane's passion for soccer has morphed into reducing injuries and improving performance for local players, and of course knocking the ball around the Sports Park and in the back yard with his younger kids.

Dr. Happeny joined Healing Motion Physical Therapy in December of 2019. He was working his own cash pay physical therapy business when he decided to team up with Healing Motion Philomath to expand into a second location in Corvallis.

Dane grew up in Medford, OR. He graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Science at Oregon State University in 2010. He then attended Chapman University, graduating as a Doctor of Physical Therapy with Academic Excellence in 2013.

Dane has been a physical therapist in Corvallis since 2013. He has completed additional Orthopedic Residency training and is a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist (OCS). He is also a certified Emergency Medical Responder. Dane has a passion for treating athletes, specializing in the shoulder for baseball and other overhead athletes. He works frequently with the Crescent Valley High School baseball team as well as other local high school sports teams, triathletes, CrossFitters, and strength and endurance athletes.   Dane customizes individuals’ care toward their goals for recovery and educates them how to surpass their goals and maintain a higher standard of health.

In his free time, Dane enjoys spending time with his wife, Tracy, three children, Easton, Ellery, and Lawson, his extended family and friends, and rooting for the Beavers in any and all athletic events. He also enjoys community service, working on a never-ending list of household projects, spending time at The Shop, a local CrossFit training facility, and anything outdoors including running, hiking, skiing, and competing in recreational sports.
